Jonathan Boelkins is an award-winning architect and an Instructor at the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design at the University of Arkansas.   He completed a Master's Degree as a Danforth Scholar at Washington University in St. Louis in Advanced Architectural Design and is the Principal of his eponymous firm, Jonathan Boelkins Architect.  He previously served as the Studio Director at the acclaimed design practice of Marlon Blackwell Architects and supervised the completion of several significant internationally-recognized projects including the Ruth Lilly Visitor’s Pavilion at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, the Saint Nicholas Eastern Orthodox Church, and the Porchdog House.  Jonathan led the transition to Building Information Modeling at Marlon Blackwell Architects which resulted in a Technology in Architectural Practice Award from the American Institute of Architects in 2012. His areas of expertise in teaching are in construction detailing, the use of digital tools in architectural production, and numerous issues related to professional practice.   He also holds a degree in Business Administration and a Commercial Pilot’s License.
